Nesscliffe Village Hall
For the whole community
Although not in the centre of the village, the hall is a focus point for many, a place to take part in the various events, to enjoy hobbies, and to socialise with others.
History of the hall
The Nesscliffe Village Hall is located where it is because of a gift of land in 1934 by Mrs Lewis of Wilcott. It was built by public subscription. A lottery grant provided money for essential renovations in 2001
The facilities are suitable for weddings, parties, seminars and meetings.
What is the hall used for?
The hall is regularly used by a number of clubs and societies for their activities and for meetings. It is also hired out for celebrations like wedding receptions, and several times a year the committee organises events to raise funds towards the upkeep of the hall.
Looking after the hall
The Village Hall is run by a management committee and is self-supporting, which means that the committee raises funds on an on-going basis to keep the hall in good repair.
